Abstract
Various studies conducted by experts show that the problem of malnutrition in the elderly is largely a problem of excess nutrient status which lead to many degenerative diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, gallstones, arthritis, gnjal, liver cirrhosis, and cancer. While the problem of malnutrition is also a lot less energy occurs as a chronic, anemia and other micronutrient deficiencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the nutritional status of the relationship with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly elderly posyandu pelambuan health center working area of 2013 types of observational research uses cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all elderly patients enrolled in posyandu elderly parrot Pelambuan health center working area of 60 people by using a sampling technique by means of stratified random sampling. Processing and analysis of data using a computer program using che-square test. The results showed that there is a relationship between the nutritional status of elderly people with hypertension incidence in elderly posyandu parrot (p value <0.05). It is expected that the elderly can maintain a balanced nutritional diet and the need for support of the family to raise awareness of the importance of health and encourage the elderly to be able to check their health keposyandu nearby.
